Next to the tattoo machine, needle modules are one of the most important things for applying colour under the skin. But who are the big manufacturers on the market for cartridges and co. and are there differences in the needles?

CHEYENNE
Let's start with the Cheyenne tattoo needles. I'm sure many of you, if not all, have heard of Cheyenne Professional Tattoo Equipment or even own a Cheyenne machine. Back in 2007, Cheyenne launched its first machine, the HAWK.
The idea to develop cartridges came from the fact that at that time tattooing was still done with coil machines and classic needles were used. So you needed a separate machine for each needle configuration. Cheyenne proved that this can also be easier and more comfortable with the Safety Cartridge. The needles were packed into a housing with a docking mechanism and could be exchanged comfortably and safely from then on. During the development of the Safety Cartridge, one point in particular was in focus. Safety, as the name suggests. No more exposed needles, which significantly reduced the number of injuries. Cheyenne patented the built-in safety membrane. On the one hand, it pulls the needle back into the cartridge housing and at the same time separates the contaminated area of the needle from the clean grip. This prevents blood, ink or other body fluids from flowing back into the equipment.

Kwadron is a Polish company that produces not only tattoo needles, but also colours, equipment and accessories for tattooing.
